Present:
- Parent: Ward Bouwman
- Principal: Jeanne Casella
- Traffic Engineer: David Parisi
- Safe Routes to School: Wendi Kallins
- Marinwood Association: Bruce Anderson
Current conditions
- There is about 10 minutes of bottleneck in the morning. People park on both sides of the street.
- In the winter about 10% of the kids walk. More in the good weather. Even on best days only about 20 bike. There are 3 buses daily.
Drop Off
- Jeanne has to put cones in the road to keep people from parking in the red zone.
- Cars are using the file lane.
- Bikes traveling west have to maneuver through the drop off situation.
- People speed up once they drop off their kids.
The group gathered in front of the school and walked to specific areas that have been identified by the school's task force. The group then discussed the issue and then comes to an agreement of the problem areas. (Links below the image)
